ANNOUNCING A SPECIAL EVENT

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, Maine Memorial Elementary School PTA will be having a "Race for Education" -- a fun event to raise $20,000 for field trips, teacher mini-grants, Spring Carnival, Grandparents Tea, special assemblies/guest performers, and many other enriching student activities.  Students will walk and/or jog around the town park walking path for one hour.  Each student will raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a donation to the PTA.  All donations are tax deductible.  Please consider sponsoring a student today.  Thank you.

SHOWING YOUR SUPPORT FOR A STUDENT IS EASY

1. Type your student's name in the box below and click "Search." His or her full name will then appear alone or in a list, along with their grade.

2. Click on the "Donate Now" button beside your student's name, and make your contribution.

3. Consider helping to spread the news about the "Race for Education." Below your student's name you will see the wording: SHARE THIS STUDENT URL, and next to that will be his/her specific webpage URL. Click on the social media icons or copy & email the link to their page.

You can give any amount, of course, and those who contribute $50.00 or more will have their name and their sponsored child's name on a Special Sneaker to be displayed in the school's main hallway as a way to encourage and rally our students. In addition, if you donate $100.00 or more, you'll become a Classroom Sponsor for your child and his/her entire classroom, plus you will receive free Spartan spirit gear and recognition on Race Day. If you donate $250.00 or more, you'll become an Event Sponsor and get your name or business name on a banner during Race Day plus receive Facebook shoutouts and free Spartan spirit gear. 

We should also tell you that students, as well as their class, can win prizes (e.g., Treasure Box Prize Cards, Blue & Gold Wristbands, Free Ice Cream Coupons, Class Pizza Party, Class Trip to "Maine Scoop," 3-D Pen with Extra Filament, $75.00 "Discovery Center" Gift Card, "Nee Doh Squishy Toys, Popsicles on Race Day and much more! ) for the number of sponsors they recruit. In addition, any classroom that collectively earns $1,000 or more will win a roll party from Texas Roadhouse! Finally, contact your sponsored student to find out the time that he or she will be jogging/walking.
